Why is it good for the birder?

Conveniently situated in the heart of the Cape Peninsula, it is very close to a number of prime birding spots, such as Kommejie and Boulder's Beach, and the pelagic departure point in Simonstown. Its central position on the Peninsula also makes it a good base from which to explore further afield. Birding begins in the two acre garden and a wetland across the road boasts 70 species. Chris Spengler is an avid birder and has local area knowledge & can give advice. Afton Grove is used by numerous national & international birding tour operators.

Accommodation: Is in one of 10 tastefully decorated garden cottages overlooking a landscaped garden & pool area. Each sleeps twin or double on a self-cater or BnB basis. All units have own bathroom & separate entrance with secure parking on site. Numerous restaurants within 3km radius. Close to all "must see" Cape attractions.

Rates: BnB - R325.00 p/p in a standard room, R395.00 p/p in a luxury garden cottage and R795.00 p/p in an Executive Suite, including a wonderful farmhouse breakfastand Self Catering R237.50 p/p sharing (sleeps 2).
