Why
is it good for the birder?
Situated
less than a kilometers from Grootvadersbos, it allows easy
early morning access to the forest (with the option of returning
for breakfast!) In addition, Forest Buzzard and Crowned
Eagle can often be seen on the farm itself. Greater and
Lesser Honeyguides are attracted to John's bee-keeping activities,
and a selection of forest endemics, such as Greater Double-collared
Sunbird and Forest Canary, are found in the cottage gardens.
