Why is it good for the birder? Situated less than a kilometers from Grootvadersbos, it allows easy early morning access to the forest (with the option of returning for breakfast!) In addition, Forest Buzzard and Crowned Eagle can often be seen on the farm itself. Greater and Lesser Honeyguides are attracted to John's bee-keeping activities, and a selection of forest endemics, such as Greater Double-collared Sunbird and Forest Canary, are found in the cottage gardens. Click here for more birding information in the area.

Your Hosts:
John and Miranda Moodie are heavily committed to the areas conversation and are a mine of fascinating information on the region.

Rates: R250.00 per person per night (dinner, bed and breakfast). Meals are available to order.
