Cape
Gannet Colony
This
vibrant colony is the most accessible of the six Cape Gannet
colonies in existence. Huge numbers of gannets are present
throughout the year, and can be viewed face to face from a
modern, newly constructed hide. A panel of one-way glass forms
one side of the hide, allowing undisturbed observation of
the gannets curious behavioural interactions. Amazingly,
a few individuals of the vagrant Australian Gannet annually
linger in an offshore Cape Gannet colony further south.
